After spending 21 years in the Air Force where she had to move every 2-3 years, Trez truly understands the stress, challenges, and frustrations of trying to sell your house, pack, and move while balancing a full-time career and family.
She knows how hard it can be to downsize, declutter and try to get a house ready to show while still living in it and doing the best you can do with what you have.
This is why as a stager, Trez does everything in her power take the stress and burden off of the homeowner and gives each home what it needs to sell quickly at a great price.
“In the Air Force, we have a motto,” says Trez. “It’s ‘Integrity first, Service Before Self, and Excellence in all we do.’ I stand by this same motto in my staging business. I’m committed to operating my business at the highest level of integrity, while serving others first, and staying dedicated to excellence.”
When Trez retired from the Air Force 2005, she hadn’t a clue what to do with this next chapter of her life. All she knew was she wanted to do something on the leading edge. Something she could develop from the ground up and make it her own.
During a month-long visit to see her sister in California, Trez discovered staging. Her sister had just launched her own Home Staging Company, and when Trez got a taste for it, she was hooked!
Staging gave her the perfect opportunity to leverage her military experience in design, organization and problem-solving with her creativity and communication skills.
She returned to Virginia and immediately embarked on her new business opportunity.
“When you do what you LOVE…everything else falls into place!”
Since that time, Trez’s company Staged2Sell has become one of the leading staging companies in all of Hampton Roads. It has earned the reputation for staging homes that sell remarkably fast for enviable prices while relieving their clients of their stress as they move through this major transition in their lives.
“We take excellent care of our clients,” says Trez, “not only by making sure their house receives the staging it deserves but by taking away most of the stress and indecision so many homeowners experience when selling their home. It’s important to us that our clients feel confident and even excited about our work, as well as their own priorities and decisions.”
Trez has been described as the real estate equivalent of a makeup artist. She attends to the details – the lipstick, the mascara, and that small strand of pearls – in order to accentuate each home’s most saleable qualities while minimizing its less desirable features.
“Staging is magical!” says Trez. “It goes way beyond decorating and cleaning. It’s about perfecting the art and science of potentializing space, visualization, and creating moods. Staging makes your house look and feel bigger, brighter, cleaner, warmer, more loving and, best of all… it makes homebuyers want to buy it. Instantly!”
Trez’s greatest joy is being able to positively influence both local neighborhoods and surrounding communities by getting properties to move faster and getting the most money possible back into the pockets of home sellers.
“Every home that S2S has staged for me has sold at full asking price within a week or two; several sold above list price in the first 2 days on the market. Now, I would never sell a home without having Trez stage it first. And I recommend that anyone else do the same..” R. McCarty
